The Latin Recording Academy announced that Carlos Vives will be the “Person of the Year 2024”, He has been recognized for his more than three decades of career as a multifaceted singer and songwriter, as well as for his constant commitment to environmental and social initiatives.

In this way, the Colombian artist joins previous winners such as Laura Pausini, Marco Antonio Solís, Rubén Blades, Juanes, Manna, Alejandro Sanz, Shakira y Ricky Martin, among others.

Vives will be honored at a special gala as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Latin GRAMMYs, in a tribute concert that will include versions of his famous repertoire performed by a range of notable artists and friends.
