He King of Reggaeton was recognized as “Distinguished Son of San Juan” in a special session in the Senate of San Juan.

He was also presented with the name change of state highway PR-36 to “Daddy Yankee”, in homage to his artistic career and cultural contribution.

DY He expressed his happiness on social media, sharing several photos and videos of the ceremony accompanied by a message of gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout his career: “This tribute isn’t just mine. It belongs to my colleagues, producers, every fan, and especially to the people who saw me grow up: Puerto Rico.”
